Institution Initiatives

At the Endowment Foundation for Supporting Education (Siraj), we stand at the threshold of a new path full of potential. Our vision is to bring about significant change in the education sector in the Sultanate of Oman. Although we are still in the early stages of planning and implementing our initiatives, we anticipate making a considerable impact in various areas of education, including financial flexibility, quality enhancement, innovation, access to education, and community engagement.

Comprehensive Scholarships

As outlined in the Student Guide for the 2025–2026 academic year, the Foundation offered seven fully funded internal scholarships. In addition to covering academic expenses, each student receives a monthly stipend of OMR 120. The total cost of these scholarships amounts to OMR 161,000. This initiative aims to enable high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds to complete their university education in a stable and motivating environment.

Siraj Consumer Exhibition

The Siraj Consumer Exhibition is the first consumer exhibition organized by the Endowment Foundation for Supporting Education “Siraj.” It aims to encourage entrepreneurship among student-run companies as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. All proceeds from the exhibition are fully allocated to supporting the Foundation’s endowments, contributing to the funding of its sustainable educational programs and initiatives.

Siraj Art Exhibition

As part of its efforts to support young talents and showcase their creativity, the Foundation organized the exhibition in collaboration with the Bait Al Zubair Foundation. The exhibition aims to support higher education students’ creative works by providing a platform to display and sell their artistic creations. It offered students a valuable opportunity to market their work, with the financial returns shared equally between the students and the Foundation.

University Student Sponsorship Initiative

The initiative aims to support underprivileged students who are self-funded and studying at private higher education institutions. Each student receives a monthly stipend of OMR 50 to cover essential expenses such as housing and living costs, ensuring their continuity in education. Registration for the initiative was open from January to February 2024 through an electronic platform, with approximately 1,519 students from various regions of the Sultanate of Oman registering. The initiative provided sponsorship to 100 eligible students in need of financial assistance.

Siraj Donation Application

The Siraj mobile application was launched in March 2024 with the aim of collecting donations to support underprivileged students facing financial difficulties, as well as contributing to the Foundation’s endowments. The application facilitates the donation process and helps support these students throughout their educational journey, enhancing their opportunities to continue their studies and achieve their academic goals.

University Student Support Initiative

In collaboration with the University Student Support initiative, the Foundation offers university students the opportunity to receive two free books upon presenting their university ID, and four books for student mothers, during the Foundation’s participation in the Muscat International Book Fair 2025. An unmissable opportunity to gain knowledge and support personal development!

Siraj Ramadan Charity Campaign

The Siraj Ramadan Charity Campaign is a comprehensive marketing campaign organized by the Foundation throughout the holy month of Ramadan. It includes a variety of activities that combine field and digital marketing, with the aim of raising donations to support the Foundation’s endowments and strengthen its role in serving education and the community. The campaign features several charitable initiatives, such as the Charity Dish, the distribution of iftar meals, communal iftar gatherings, and the Siraj Al-Khair Exhibition.

University Student Iftar Project

This initiative aims to distribute complete iftar meals to students of higher education institutions during the holy month of Ramadan, meeting their nutritional needs while fasting and helping them perform their religious duties and continue their studies with energy and effectiveness. The initiative also seeks to support students during this blessed month and contribute to creating a suitable educational environment that enables them to achieve academic excellence.

Aquaculture Laboratory Project

The Aquaculture Laboratory was established at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Sur Branch, providing a valuable addition to the university by offering an ideal environment for students to conduct specialized research and studies in the field of aquaculture. The laboratory aims to equip students with the practical and technical knowledge required, contributing to the development of their scientific skills and enhancing their ability to innovate in this vital and important field.
